Linear Integration
Connect your Linear projects and issues directly to initiatives.
Overview
Monoscope’s Linear integration links projects and issues from Linear to the strategic initiatives they belong to. It provides a clear connection between execution progress and strategic outcomes — all in one view.
How It Works
After connecting via OAuth, Monoscope can:
- Search your Linear workspace for projects or issues
- Link them to initiatives for shared visibility
- Display titles, status, and assignees automatically
Monoscope never modifies your Linear data — all updates remain within Linear itself.
Setup Instructions
1. Connect Linear
Go to Integrations → New Integration → choose Linear. Authenticate using your Linear account to grant read-only access.
2. Open a Initiative
In your organization, navigate to a initiative.
3. Add Work
Click Add Work, choose Linear, and search your workspace for projects or issues.
4. Select & Save
Choose one or more items to attach. They’ll appear under Work in the initiative with:
- Status (e.g., In Progress, Done)
- Assigned owner
- Type and project name
- Updated timestamp
Permissions
Access respects Linear’s workspace permissions. If teammates can’t open a linked issue, adjust visibility in Linear.
Best Practices
- Link projects for initiative-level visibility, not every ticket.
- Keep tactical task management in Linear — use Monoscope for context and impact.
- Use naming consistency to make search faster across tools.
